You should expect to have a different experience than paddling alone, as you'll need to take your dog's needs and safety into consideration. At Aqua Adventures you'll get to choose whether you want to kayak or SUP with your dog. We provide a life jacket for your dog, especially if they are not strong swimmers. Once you're on the water, you'll enjoy a leisurely paddle, where you can take breaks to let your dog swim, or even stop at the beach to play a game of fetch. Paddling with your dog is a great way to bond and create unforgettable memories together.
Hobbies and activities that involve your dog can enrich both your lives! Dogs needs both physical and mental stimulation and there’s nothing like a kayak or paddleboard excursion to meet those needs!
At Aqua Adventures, our paddle with your pup lesson will walk you through everything from determining if your pup is ready to paddle, to the appropriate gear required before hitting the water.
On our one-hour lesson we’ll talk about appropriate vessels for you and your dog, show you how to keep everyone safe and comfortable and learn the basics of paddling. We'll spend about 20 minutes on a land demo from our dock and then we'll move to the water and onto your vessel of choice for a brief outing.
You may also elect to take the lesson without your pup and learn how to make your dog’s first outing awesome!
