For over 15 years Aqua Adventures has been a proud partner of the San Diego Kayaking Meet Up Group. The San Diego Kayaking Meet Up Group is a group of like minded individuals who occasionally get together to share their love of kayaking, there is never a fee to become a MeetUp member. As a way to get more people on the water and grow San Diego's paddle community, Aqua Adventures provides discounted rentals to get butts in boats!
Our Wednesday night paddles are hosted weekly and launch promptly at 5:30pm - we will not wait for any late comers. To ensure you enjoy your time on the water, please arrive early and ready to go. If you have your own equipment and want to join, there is no fee to launch from Aqua Adventures' dock. Rentals are provided at a discount rate of $15 per person. No reservations are accepted, it is strictly a show and go event. This event is guided by an Aqua Adventures staff. Please note, this is a guided event and prior experience is suggested; we will not offer a lesson prior to launching. Paddle routes will vary depending on group abilities/experience, weather condtions and water conditions.
If you have never paddled a sea kayak and/or do not know how to do a self-rescue you, you will not be able to rent a sit-inside or decked-kayak. You will be required to rent a sit-on-top kayak. If you are interested in learning how to sea kayak please look into our Learn to Sea Kayak Class.
Weekly paddles are subject to cancellation. Please call the day of or check our meetup page. All participants are required to have an updated liability waiver completed.
